My name is Debbie Daum and for the first 20 years of my working adult life, I worked in human resources, sitting at a desk or driving a vehicle for the majority of the day. As a result of my repetitive body positioning, I started to develop chronic pain and various conditions.
Through my own self-healing journey, I recognized that I have an ability and inherent need to assist others to heal, and have a passion for it! I discovered Massage Therapy was quite effective through my own experiences and I was hooked!
In 2016 I gave up my desk job and successfully completed my 2 year, 2200 hour diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy with MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy. I am a member in good standing with the Massage therapist Association of Alberta.(MTAA)
After graduating, I worked in a Physiotherapy/Massage clinic before moving to Airdrie in 2018 and opening Body Mender Massage Therapy, my home based clinic.
When not studying or practicing you can find me enjoying my garden, reading a good book, rowing, spending time with my family or dreaming of my next vacation!
